Design Studio Minwoo* has meticulously crafted the Seiromushi Cuisine Restaurant in Yeongdeungpo-gu, South Korea, under the guiding concept of “TIMELESS MODERNITY,” aiming to evoke a sense of enduring elegance and sophistication.
Two Distinctive Spaces
The restaurant features two distinct spaces, each offering a unique ambiance and sensory experience. The first hall, accessed through a forked road, exudes a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of fog over a pond. Illuminated by soft, ambient light from the high ceiling, the space is adorned with a quiet stonework centerpiece and triangular horn-shaped objects, creating a captivating focal point. In contrast, the second room, also accessed from the forked road, evokes the gentle glow of sunlight filtering through trees, exuding a serene and ethereal beauty.
Thoughtful Design Elements
The facade of the restaurant draws attention with its quiet reed motif, while the counter wall welcomes guests with gentle lighting. Inside, the ceiling of the main hall, originating at different heights, retains the original architectural character while incorporating geometric shapes and structural elements. Each hall space boasts a unique ceiling design, offering visitors a synesthetic journey through the space. To enhance tranquility, the interior features warm-toned finishes and natural materials, including wood and special paints, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
