Bambu Indah stands as a pioneering eco-resort, setting a standard for jungle getaways with its innovative approach. Among its architectural marvels are the Bamboo Pure buildings, including the acclaimed Riverbend House and the iconic Moon House.
The Bamboo Treehouse Project: IBUKU’s Ingenious Creation
In a testament to their commitment to sustainability and creativity, IBUKU completed a unique project in 2020, crafting an entire bamboo treehouse interconnected between three colossal trees. This endeavor presented a delightful challenge, with construction taking place high above the ground amidst the canopies of the trees.
Architectural Marvel in Harmony with Nature
The structure itself resembles a vast basket, where the floor gracefully curls up to form sloping walls enclosing the interior space. Overarching the area around the three trees is a lightweight roof structure, strategically designed to integrate seamlessly with the natural environment.
Natural Illumination and Breathtaking Views
Skylights punctuate the roof, ushering in natural light and illuminating the space within. The design affords an expansive 180-degree panorama overlooking the Bambu Indah resort, nestled amidst the terraced landscapes of the majestic Sayan Ridge.
A Luxurious Adventure in the Treetops
Following the completion of the treehouse’s construction, IBUKU was entrusted to design the interior space, seamlessly blending luxury with adventurous escapades, offering guests an unforgettable experience amidst the lush canopy of trees.
