Evolution of Design
Originally conceived as a short-stay accommodation destination akin to architectural landmarks like the Nagakin Capsule Tower in Tokyo and the Cube House in Rotterdam, the project underwent a transformation in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Embracing a long-term tenant model, the design evolved to meet the diverse needs of permanent residents, resulting in a more nuanced and tailored approach to urban housing.

Each micro-unit features a custom-designed joinery installation by Kink Design, seamlessly integrating essential amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, built-in cupboard, study desk, and concealed storage. The versatile design also incorporates a murphy bed that transforms into a sofa, optimizing space without compromising comfort.
Architectural Expression
To maximize natural light and space efficiency, the building utilizes glass blocks instead of traditional windows, resulting in a flat façade reminiscent of a tapestry. Drawing inspiration from traditional African patterns and contemporary textile design, the façade showcases a unique aesthetic while ensuring low maintenance and longevity.
